Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 01
Arrival Kochi — Fort Kochi Sightseeing
Pickup from Kochi Airport or Ernakulam Station. Fort Kochi sightseeing — Chinese fishing nets, Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Jew Town spice market and St Francis Church. Check in to hotel. Overnight in Kochi.
Day 02
Kochi → Munnar (130 km, ~4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Munnar with stops at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Check in to hill resort; evening at Munnar town. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 03
Full Day Munnar Sightseeing
Eravikulam National Park (Nilgiri Tahr), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, TATA Tea Museum. Sunset at Top Station with sweeping Western Ghats views. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 04
Munnar → Thekkady (90 km, ~3 hrs)
Transfer to Thekkady after breakfast. Check into spice plantation resort. Afternoon boat safari on Periyar Lake — elephants, deer and exotic birds. Evening: guided spice plantation walk and Kathakali performance. Overnight in Thekkady.
Day 05
Thekkady → Alleppey Houseboat (150 km, ~4 hrs)
Morning transfer to Alleppey. Board your private deluxe houseboat at noon. Full afternoon cruising the tranquil Vembanad Lake and backwater canals. All Kerala meals freshly prepared on board. Overnight on houseboat under the stars.
Day 06
Alleppey → Trivandrum (155 km, ~3.5 hrs)
Check out houseboat at 9:00 AM. Drive to Trivandrum. Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple (one of the world's wealthiest temples), Napier Museum and Kuthiramalika Palace. Check in; evening at Kovalam beach. Overnight in Trivandrum.
Day 07
Trivandrum → Kanyakumari (90 km, ~2.5 hrs)
Drive to the southernmost point of India. Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial (ferry to the island), Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kumari Amman Temple and the Gandhi Memorial. Watch the sun dip into the ocean at three-sea confluence. Overnight in Kanyakumari.
Day 08
Kanyakumari → Rameswaram (310 km, ~5.5 hrs)
Early drive to Rameswaram, one of Hinduism's holiest sites. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple (world's longest temple corridor), bathe in the sacred theerthams, and explore the haunting ghost town of Dhanushkodi. Overnight in Rameswaram.
Day 09
Rameswaram → Madurai (170 km, ~4 hrs)
Drive to the temple city of Madurai. Visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple (a 17th-century masterpiece), Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace and Gandhi Museum. Evening at leisure in Madurai. Overnight in Madurai.
Day 10
Madurai Departure
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Madurai Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. South India explored — until next time!
